Injury ended my rugby career. Like many athletes, I had to start over. I moved into corporate recruitment - learning how systems work, how to sell, how to operate under pressure. But the disconnect was undeniable. The work didn't align with the life I wanted to build.
So I walked away. Harvest work, twelve-hour days on a pea viner. Repetitive, quiet, stripped back. That silence created space to think.
The same questions kept resurfacing: How do you sustain output day after day? How do you recover properly? What actually supports cognitive clarity and physical resilience?
